Art Knowledge
I have been an artist for over a decade and have the personal experience of trying to gain a following. I know a lot about how to get art better, what it takes to get better, and how long that should take.
Learning and Teaching
I have had prior experience with teaching and showing people how to draw and what information helps them stick and what to avoid. I have also seen plenty of tutorials online and know the overall layout of a post
Social Media Experience
Along with being an artist for a long time, I have owned an Instagram page that I have uploaded art to for a long time as well. I know all the features, techniques, and the algorithm of the app which helps when making a social media page as a solution.
New Skills and Information Learned After This Project
Public Art Rules and Costs
Throughout this project, I have learned more about costs and requirements in order to get art up in a city. Unless they are events where you just sign up for, you need to get managers and professionals and will need to find ways to cover the costs of the creation.
Better foresight for scheduling
One process in this project that i struggled with was time. I have well time management, I was just not aware of how long it would take each post to make. Now that I have experience with making informational posts, I know have the foresight to allow me to get a better idea of how much time I should put aside for future posts
Leadership Skills
Self Leading and Time Managment
All assignments have been turned in on time if not early, and this is because I tell myself I need to break off time to get everything done before the due dates come up so that if I need to change anything I have time. It is important to be on top of schedules and time when it comes to important tasks such as this capstone and executing this plan.
Leading From Questions
I made sure to let the people ask any questions to make sure my points were as clear as possible. I was also very open to any criticism I was given, oftentimes agreeing and asking how they would like to see this problem fixed.
Limiting Quesitons
When it comes to explaining my capstone to others, I try to be clear and concise with my words to limit any confusion. I am still open to any questions, critiques, and discussions for everything in this project if needed.
Prototyping Reflection
The prototyping process was pretty straightforward. The low-budget prototype felt pointless due to how much easier it is to just make an Instagram page. Everything after Phase 1 went well, as the Instagram page was easy to share and get feedback on and was also very easy to change.
Successful?
Yes and No

The project itself seems good for the time given, however, this is something that is supposed to be long-term, so with the project ending soon, it feels quite weak. It is easy to find and use, however it is equally easy to forget about, for both users and the creator.
The feedback groups also agreed that this project was quite underwhelming as it never took off.
Improvements
Some improvements that could be implemented are:
More consistent uploads on the page
A group of people to work on uploads so more can be published per week
